Meet Kate Jones, CSW

Kate prioritizes connecting with and understanding each client and family as individuals, and using their unique strengths and values to work through life’s challenges. She supports clients in understanding how their brains and bodies communicate, what they are trying to say, and how to respond to them compassionately. She believes that when emotions are understood they enhance, rather than control, our lives. She feels very lucky to witness clients and families reach their goals, and live happy, connected lives.

Kate has worked with children and adolescence for the past seven years, and with the neurodivergent population for the last five. She has experience supporting clients in enhancing their emotion regulation, communication and social relationships, school engagement, executive function, and family harmony. She is trained in cognitive and behavioral approaches (DBT, ACT, and CBT), as well as strength-based, and trauma-focused modalities. She is excited to be learning play therapy techniques as well. Kate works to differentiate her approach to each client, and often uses creative examples and hands-on activities to do so.

Outside of work Kate enjoys being in nature, and working on creative projects, and researching niche topics. Her friends, family, and dog are very important to her–she can usually be found playing with her niece and nephew, walking her dog, or chatting with a loved one.
